Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and FSS (Labelling and packaging) Regulation, 2011

As per FSS (Labelling and packaging) Regulations,2011 every prepackaged food shall carry a label containing information as required under the regulation unless otherwise provided, namely.

• The particulars of declaration required under the Regulations to specified on the label shall be in English or Hindi Devanagari script. label in pre-packaged foods shall be applied in such a manner that they will not become separated from the container
• Contents on the label shall be clear, prominent, indelible, and readily legible by the consumer under normal conditions of purchase and use

As per legal Metrology (Packaged Commodity) Regulation ,2011 regulate pre- packaged commodities in India and mandate certain labelling requirements             prior to sale of such commodities in order to fulfill the legal labelling and packaging regulations, REGULATORY NATION helps in meeting the legal compliance by combining both regulations
